What is Econ4U?

Econ4U is the website of The Center for Economic and Entrepreneurial Literacy (CEEL), a non-profit organization promoting financial education. Its economic education program presents facts on personal finance, business economics, entrepreneurship, and government spending in unusual venues such as movie theaters, restaurants, and bowling centers. We are reaching young people in non-academic environments while they were not intending to be taught! This unique approach sets us apart from all other financial literacy programs that exist today.

Econ4U teaches important economic concepts that are easy to understand and retain in a quiz-style format. Our cleverly designed “sound bites” not only educate, but also pique young people's interest to learn more about topics that affect them every day, including credit card debt, tax rates, profit margins, and saving.

Detailed explanations of the answers to questions presented in these venues are posted on this site. Take the quiz to learn more!

How do I make a contribution to support your program?

Fully tax-deductible contributions can be made to the Center for Economic and Entrepreneurial Literacy. All funds go directly towards promotion costs of Econ4U messages. Contributions are accepted from corporations, foundations, and individuals.
